Same error message still present in 14.04 release, 4.0.2-2build1

Mainly a noise message seems like? After install I see the directory though.

root@test:~# ls /usr/share/doc/php-apc/
changelog.Debian.gz copyright php5-apcu

I got the same just now, on 14.04, version i386 4.0.2-2build1. Perhaps interestingly, ls shows a circular link:

$ ls -l /usr/share/doc/php-apc/
total 4
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 32 Feb 19 2014 changelog.Debian.gz -> ../php5-apcu/changelog.Debian.gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 3735 Okt 22 2013 copyright
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 9 Dez 4 08:03 php5-apcu -> php5-apcu
