Bug Description

I tried to download sikuli using the sikuli-setup.jar, and it failed with text exactly like this question, modulo Java versions and OSes. (1.7.0-45 on Mac OS X 10.7.5, 1.7.0_25 on Ubuntu 12.04 = Linux 3.5.0-44-generic). The dialog on failure complained about Dropbox, which is simply not allowed in the Lincoln Lab environment. I would very much like to be able to download and try out sikuli, but I'm blocked by this.

The error dialog reads:

"Some of the downloads did not complete successfully. Check the logfile for possible error causes.

If you think, setup's inline download from Dropbox is blocked somehow on, your system, you might download the appropriate raw packages manually and unzip them into a folder Downloads in the setup folder and run setup again. Be aware: The raw packages are not useable without being processed by setup!

For other reasons, you might simply try to run setup again."

[PEDANTIC NOTE: The first sentence in the second paragraph should lose the first two commas to be correct. It's also quite run-on, and should be broken into two sentences. As an editor, I'd change "manually and unzip" to "manually. Unzip".]

Here's the log from OS X. The Linux log is almost identical, although it gave up after trying the first download and never got to 1.0.1-9.

Thanks for pointing out.

This is how the error popup should read for the latest setup.jar version 1.0.1 (Build 12NOV2013120000)

"Some of the downloads did not complete successfully. Check the logfile for possible error causes.

If you think, that setup's inline download is blocked somehow on your system (security reasons), you might download the appropriate raw packages manually (see: https://answers.launchpad.net/sikuli/+faq/2363).
Be aware: The raw packages are not useable without being processed by setup!

For other reasons, you might simply try to run setup again."

The the mentioned link contains the solution.

BTW: the inline download no longer accesses Dropbox, but a project site on Launchpad.
