Bug Description

Binary package hint: kde4libs

all packages with gif support in ubuntu depend on libungif4g, kde4libs 3.91.0-0ubuntu6 depends on libgif4, this will cause apt to remove all other packages with gif support

I think that the same mistake has been done with the package on ppa for the version 4.0.2.

The dist-upgrade is asking me to remove plenty of package (wmaker, auctex, maxima, mplayer ... ) because of this.

Time to re-open this bug.
