Ohh, damn it. The shutdown was with BIT root, is that correct? I'm very sorry for that. I shouldn't make changes that short before releasing.
If you close BIT mainwindow before the snapshot is finished it will not shutdown. We will release a new version asap.

But I can't confirm the anacron issue. Can you please delete /root/.local/share/backintime/anacron/1_Main_profile (or if you use a different profile those corresponding file) and watch out if it will create a new snapshot at the next quarter hour?

Kind regards and sorry again,
Germar

Thank you, Germar, both worked. Shutdown didn't happen with closed BIT window, and anacron just did it's job.

Will it now remain, or shall I maybe add rm -f //root/.local/share/backintime/anacron/1_Main_profile top my rc.local?

Great. It should remain *fingers crossed*
anacron uses this file to check last time when it started that process. So if you would delete it on startup, anacron would start that process every time.

After one day I can confirm that anacron backup works fine. I have two profiles, one is daily and one is weekly, the daily I can confirm, but I expect the weekly also work OK.
