Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz-fusion-plugins-main

If you rotate the desktop cube to the top face, and have the setting enabled to lock to the top face, then do the unfold cube command and select a new desktop, instead of returning to the new desktop you chose, you return to the top of the cube again.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for reporting this bug and taking the time to make Ubuntu better. I can confirm that this is still an issue with the latest version of Compiz in Ubuntu 9.04. I believe there is enough information for a developer to begin work, I'm going to mark this as Triaged and let them take it from here.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running apport-collect <bug #> and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.

Thank you for reporting this bug. The compiz program that we currently use in Ubuntu is a C++ re-write of the original compiz and was announced the 4th July 2010. Therefore, the bugs that were reported before that date, will be marked as "Won't Fix" as they probably exist in the original program which is not stored in launchpad.
