Can't change password on 1.5.2

Bug Description

Try change the password from preferences on the dashboard, but it says "incorrect password".

Log in as a user and from the preferences menu attempt to change your own
password. Fails as described.

I believe it works OK from the user edit for admins however.

Re-tested and can't recreate this now, although I'm sure it was problematic before.
