Ubuntu One reverted my files to old revisions

I have set up Ubuntu One previously, on a Windows 8 machine and a Ubuntu VM.

Upon reinstallation of my computer, I did not set up Ubuntu One on Windows initially.

After more than a month, I have reinstalled Ubuntu One.

I have a 'development' folder which I have been working on code, and it was set up to sync with Ubuntu One.

The contents of this folder have been updated constantly, and I expected that upon reinstalling Ubuntu One, it would update the cloud contents with my computer contents.

instead, it wiped my development folder contents and placed old versions of the files, more then one month old. New files were removed altogether.

It is very upsetting for me the have such an odd behaviour.
