Bug Description

Binary package hint: democracyplayer

I'm running democracy 0.9.6 on feisty and it crashes constantly - it is wildly unstable. I can report repeatable crashes under at least 3 different situations:

* Crashes when the last video in a set of videos finishes playing

* Crashes when a video is playing and you click one of the other menu items e.g. one of your subscribed channels

* Crashes when you pause a video part-way through playing and then click one of the other menu items, e.g. one of your subscribed channels, or the channel guide.

Below is console output when I run democracy, start a playback, and then click (during playback) on another menu item:

The program 'Gecko' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and trying to help make Ubuntu better. However, since Feisty has democracyplayer 0.9.2.1, it seems that you are not using a software package provided by the official Ubuntu repositories. Because of this the Ubuntu project can not support or fix your particular bug. Please report this bug to the provider of the software package. Thanks!

If you are interested in learning more about software repositories and Ubuntu the following pages should be informative:
