Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.12 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the answer,

when i try to install the upstream kernel, i get the following error:

ERROR (dkms apport): kernel package
linux-headers-3.13.0-031300rc3-generic is not supported

What should I do?

In order to be accurate, I would like to mention that regarding the mainline kernels:

1) I managed to setup kernel 3.12.4 but it didn t do the trick
3) I am not able to install none of the 3.13.* kernels since during

run-parts: executing /etc/kernel/header_postinst.d/dkms 3.13.0-031300rc1-generic /boot/vmlinuz-3.13.0-031300rc1-generic

they all throw the error:

Error! Bad return status for module build on kernel: 3.13.0-031300rc1-generic (x86_64)

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Giagkos Mytilinish, could you please confirm this issue exists with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ . If the issue remains, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect 1259186
