Several items in the clock menu don't do anything.

Bug Description

Aside: This is probably reported against the wrong package. I'd like to report a bug against whatever package provides the menu that appears after clicking on Ubuntu's clock. For lack of any identifying name or window title, I ran `ubuntu-bug -w` and then clicked the clock, and Apport proceeded to file a bug against Compiz.

--

When I click any of the following items in the menu that appears after clicking on the clock, nothing happens:

  - Sunday, 8 December 2013
  - Add Event…
  - UTC Dec 9 01:46

If this is the intended behavior, these menu items should provide visual feedback to the user to communicate that they are noninteractive.

Andrew, thanks for reporting this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I've addressed these issues in standalone tickets:

This is in the "Locations" section. The intent for this section is so that you can customize a list of locations and show their current times here. Clicking on them should set your computer's time to that timezone. If this isn't working for you in an up-to-date-14.04 build, please open a new ticket for that issue.

Thanks again for your help.

Actually, since the first two of these three are "Fix Released" in a separate ticket, and the possible remaining issue (clicking on a location didn't change the current time for you?) isn't the same as this ticket's description, I think for bookkeeping it might make more sense to mark this ticket as Invalid.

As I said in the previous comment, please give the Location menuitems a try in an up-to-date 14.04 build and report a new ticket if you experience trouble.

Thanks for your understanding.

Thanks. I've confirmed that the clock doesn't change when I click the Location menu item while using indicator-datetime 13.10.0+13.10.20131023.2-0ubuntu1. I'll open a separate bug report if the problem persists in the next Ubuntu release.
