Bug Description

I am using Kubuntu Precise with backports on my desktop. Trying to connect to an Ubuntu Server Precise VM on XenCenter 6.1.0 with openxenmanager 0.r80+dfsg-4. It mostly works but the console is blank.

It seems a local vnc socket connection is made, I put in some debugging to see the port number and both ends of the socket show in netstat. Also the login text is received. It just doesn't show on the screen. If I try to log in blind the Enter key is captured by the 'Copy selected text' button and I get a traceback because there is no selected text.

After a while the vnc connection is lost and openxenmanger switches to the Performance tab. I get the following traceback:
VNC disconnected.. <gtkvnc.Display object at 0x7f55ec414280 (VncDisplay at 0x2cad020)>
Unexpected error: (<class 'socket.error'>, error(9, 'Bad file descriptor'), <traceback object at 0x7f55ec11b098>)
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/share/openxenmanager/tunnel.py", line 99, in read_from_server
    self.client_fd.send(data)
File "/usr/lib/python2.7/socket.py", line 170, in _dummy
    raise error(EBADF, 'Bad file descriptor')
error: [Errno 9] Bad file descriptor
