Bug Description
Can't tell exactly what had happened. For some reason I happen to have no initrd after kernel upgrade, so booting with 3.8.0-35 ends with kernel panic. I've booted with 3.8.0-34 and tried to reinstall -35 image. Aptitude fails with
Running depmod.
update-initramfs: deferring update (hook will be called later)
Failed to symbolic-link /boot/initrd.

I've figured out that purging all *-35 files helps. You can then reinstall them cleanly. Probably not a bug, just local issue.
