Bug Description
The kernel does not emit a lid event when coming back from suspend. Richard Hughes tracked down the bug and has a patch pending, but it didn't make 2.6.22.

Thanks for the report and the patch. Do you have an overview of how much hardware this affects? I saw DELL latitude 600 and ThinkPad x40 mentioned in the redhat bug.
