Bug Description

Hi, everyone!
Sorry for disturbance.
I run Ubuntu 13.10 64, Lenovo Ideapad G580 Nvidia Hybrid Graphic card.
I accidentally found that using LibreOffice 4.1.2.3 410m0(Build:3) for several minutes logs out Ubuntu randomly.
Is there a way to avoid it?
Thank you for your attention.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1255800/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.

That is just weird. LightDM writes logs to /var/log/lightdm, which might contain some information on why this is happening. I'm not sure how to go about collecting any debug info from LibreOffice, but someone from the project would be able to tell you how to go about that. Attach the LightDM logs, and set this back to new and someone will tell you how/if logs need to be collected from LibreOffice.

this could be a dupe of bug 1197921 -- not a LibreOffice bug then really.

Jake Li, thank you for performing the requested action. As per your :
[ 0.119148] [Firmware Bug]: ACPI: BIOS _OSI(Linux) query ignored

As well, as per http://download.lenovo.com/express/ddfm.html an update is available for your BIOS (1.46). If you update to this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BiosUpdate , does it change anything? If it doesn't, could you please both specify what happened, and just provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date

Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful.

For more on BIOS updates and linux, please see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Bug_reporting_etiquette .

Thank you for your understanding.
