This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter)'.

  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the GDK_SYNCHRONIZE environment
variable to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we cannot work on this bug because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures

At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).

About the
Fontconfig error: "/etc/fonts/conf.d/65-khmer.conf", line 14: out of memory

This simlink is disabled by default in Kubuntu 13.10. A workaround on this problem should be

    sudo chmod 644 /etc/fonts/conf.d/65-khmer.conf

I dont know why this file (/etc/fonts/conf.d/65-khmer.conf) have the tag match. if you see the file fonts.dtd just contain <test> and <edit> elements.

if you delete the tag <match> </match> you solved this issues.

look at this link too explain the solution http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.linux.debian.devel.bugs.general/1095401

I see this same problem. It feels like the package that owns this defect should be fonts-khmeros-core since that's the package that owns the file with the invalid content.

It looks like this was fixed in the trusty package repository. I fixed this in my saucy installation by installing the deb from http://launchpadlibrarian.net/155951667/fonts-khmeros-core_5.0-7ubuntu1_all.deb

Can confirm this bug and it appears in (as far as I remember) all apps that I have started from the terminal.

I'm on gnome 3.10.1 with stage and next ppas though. But afair this happened before too.
