Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org2

Copy & paste a photograph between GIMP Image Editor and OpenOffice.org Writer and its not immediate, noticeably slower than Windows. If you run GIMP from a terminal you see that OpenOffice is negotiating the Windows Bitmap format (.BMP) instead of faster PNG, TIFF, GIF, or JPEG.
