Bug Description

Well... I made update (about 180 MB) and my laptop (Asus X55U with UEFI) crashed. During update I saw in details window "killed" and everything hung. After that laptop went into text mode and showed "kernel panic". Moreover after power restart Ubuntu 13.10 (x86_64) loaded OK but when I run "Software Update" it hungs on "shim-signed".

I had to install system again. By the way: I saw I had 5 partitions (2 x free space, fat32, ext4 system, and swap). No comments.

WELL DONE !!!

I reinstalled the system. Now I have fresh install, system is up-to-date and the problem doesn't exist. Also I am not able to run apport-collect. I can provide more details on it... but I guess the problem is clear WHAT WAS DONE DURING PREVIOUS UPDATES REGARDING EXTRA EFI BOOT PARTITION. Please refer to someone who did it if you want to solve this issue. Good Luck.
