Nautilus takes no notice of my selection in File --> Properties

Bug Description
1. Select directory.
2. Go to File --> Properties.
3. Nautilus shows properties of the wrong thing.
Nautilus doesn't appear to have any idea what it's doing.
Cut and Copy are also not an option so I've had to revert to the command line!

Thank you for your bug report. You can right click on the file to open the properties as well, no need to use the command line. Could you try with a newer version to see if that's still an issue? I can't confirm on Ubuntu 13.10, it ignores the selection and give the properties of the current folter in that version though
