I've seen it does this when I log out without closing firefox first. If you close firefox before logging out, you may find this will not happen anymore. If this happens in other circumstances, please provide some specific steps for others to reproduce it, and state the release you're using (Feisty, Edgey? Dapper? Gutsy?). Thank you for your help with bugs.

Please define "i always close the program as usual."

I don't logout without closing the firefox first. I am using the festy and it seems to happen when i have 3 or more tabs opened and try to quit closing them all at once (on the quit button of firefox, not the tab one).

i assume you don't close firefox before you shutdown your system, right?

@Bug Triagers: Smells like a known bug 'crash on instant X shutdown'.

The problem is that i don't do this! I always close firefox before shutting down the system. The only thing I see that might be causing it is closing all the tabs at once, clicking on the x cross on the title bar of firefox. But I have always done this since i started to use firefox a long time ago.

It seems that when i close each tab separately and then close firefox, it does not happen. But if I close all of them together, even accepting the message that comes right after which says: "you are closing "n" tabs. Is that ok?", firefox will tell me that it hasn't been closed right and asks me if i want to restart the session.
