Bug Description

"Filesystem is NOT clean
Filesystem seems to be mounted read only. Skipping journal replay."

I made my lappy freeze on hoary, and saw this every time afterwards on boot. A
non-clean FS should really be played back with the journal, that's what it is
for isn't it :)
It's a Reiser 3.6, installed by the warthy release. Let me know if you need
anything else.

defalt warty installation actually (the hda2 part for sure)

Are you saying that you see this message every time you boot, or only once after
an unclean shutdown? The latter would be normal, the former would not.

Only once after the unclean shutdown. Is that normal that the journal is not
played back? wow I thought it's played back to save fs consistency.

That is normal; the journal is replayed later when the filesystem is remounted
read/write.
