Bug Description
Binary package hint: vim-gnome
GVIM complains when the filename is passed on command line as a URL :
$ gvim file://
Error detected while processing BufReadCmd Auto commands for "file://*":
E37: No write since last change (add ! to override)
Press ENTER or type command to continue
After pressing ENTER, the edit window is empty. We have to type :e to make gvim reopen the file.
What's annoying is that this is the way nautilus calls gvim, even with the following line in
~/.local/
Exec=gvim %F

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue
for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
