Bug Description

in one of the horizon meetings, the need for cross project view came up and so I volunteered to open an RFE for this
there were lots of scenarios raised including product monitoring (tier1 or help desk monitoring) and development cross project needs.

The use-case is: you have a user, being member in several projects. The task is: show me the state of all machines in all projects on one page.

This should probably be a blueprint (and mailing list post) rather than a bug though?

Kieran, yes, you're right. But: Filing a bug to have something improved is without being able to tell what exactly has to be done is a quick and valid way.

So. This bug should be closed, once the blueprint is filed.

Before we could do the overview page in horizon, we need some work on the keystone side, right?

I think the piece you need on the keystone side is already available, but not currently exposed in keystoneclient.

  GET /v3/role_assignments

Can be used to get a list of projects the user has any sort of authorization to access. Bug 1246310 is tracking the addition of this call to the python library.

As indicated above, this is nice change but should be handled within the blueprint process. Dafna Ron, can you create a blueprint for this?

I am not a developer and due to the changes in the blueprint process cannot submit one.
I believe that this bug should be moved to wish list if it cannot be resolved as a bug and the requester is not a developer.
