Bug Description

xubuntu 13.04
chromium-browser 30.0.1599.114-0ubuntu0.13.04.2 from raring-security

When the window is maximized there is an area above the tabs and if I click there I can see the menu entries (see the attached screenshot).

Also affects chromium-browser 30.0.1599.114-0ubuntu0.12.04.3 from precise-security on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.

This bug is extremely irritating as it destroys the Fitts' Law effect for changing tabs - by adding the extra 1px of menu at the top of the screen you can now overshoot the tab and get a menu instead.

I have confirmed that this bug is not present in upstream Chromium, see bug report here: https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=318633

Not sure if this is the same bug. F11 fullscreen mode does not work either.

Actually, on Lubuntu 14.04 this is fixed for me, as I was still looking at 13.10 for some reason.

This bug was introduced in Xubuntu 12.04 during the last update for me. And it is _really_ annoying. :/

We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all reported bugs in a timely manner. You reported this bug some time ago and there have been many changes in Ubuntu and Chromium since that time.

Does anyone still see the issue using currently supported versions of Chromium and Ubuntu?
