Bug Description

The standard Adwaita theme looks great in midori but a lot of it renders black in a Private Browsing Window which makes it difficult or impossible to use.

I tried the latest Adwaita theme from git (gnome-themes-standard) but the problem remains so I think it must be a midori problem.

Could you provide a screenshot to clarify "renders black"? It is expected that private browsing uses the theme's dark variant which is also used by media players.

The Adwaita theme is the only one of the 30 or so themes installed on my system that renders black in this way.

I should also mention that form elements on some websites render black so it is impossible to see what is being inputted into them.

This is intentional, but perhaps questionably so--it doesn't seem readily understood by users. I guess the intent is to serve as a reminder that the session will not be saved (like Chrome's incognito icon (https://www.google.com/help/hc/images/chrome_95464.gif). Maybe we should consider something less intrusive (and which can be clicked/hovered to obtain an explanation)?

I don't think switching to a dark theme is the right way to go. It's easy to notice with Adwaita but it also makes the browser unusable on some websites since input text fields are black. It isn't as intrusive with other themes but it is also not as noticeable. Basically, I don't think it gives you enough control.
