Bug Description

As reported in https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/121327 after the update to a version that runs the results are incorrect. I'm going to attach a .tar.gz with a lyx file and an image. If one uses Lyx View->Pdflatex under osx or windows gets a good file, if one uses in ubuntu the view->ps2pdf the result is correct. Also this used to work fine in ubuntu prior to the update.

I cannot see the problem here? I insalled lyx from Debian/sid, opened the document you provided, created a pdf document and it looks quite ok.I checked with dvipdfmx driver and I get the same pdf document appearance.

Could you please submit a failure pdf for comparison?

As can be seen the pdflatex generated file comes in 3 pages with the logo completely of position.

True. But it might be that the generated TeX code is just wrong and this
a problem of lyx and not pdflatex.

Can you do the following:
- in your home directory
 mv .lyx .lyx.save
- then retry with a pristine lyx call

After this you might
 rm -rf .lyx
 mv .lyx.save .lyx

Also, can you generate TeX code:
File -> Export -> LaTeX (pdflatex)
and attach the file. Thanks.

Best wishes

Norbert

I cleaned my ~/.lyx and started fresh.

I exported to .tex in Linux and in Windows and the results are the same in terms of .tex file.

I noticed that the .pdf file that is created in the imagens directory (the .eps logo converted to .pdf) had different file sizes. I opened the two files and they are really diferent and it is that that is causing the problem.
So the issue is with the tools that lyx uses to convert the image from eps to pdf.

In windows my instalation uses eps2pdf. In linux in lyx i see no converter from eps -> pdf so i assume it is using the standard ps2pdf13
