Hi,

I uploaded this package to Gutsy, and I tested if before without problems.

Also I installed it from the official repositories (using apt-get) to check this bug and I got the same results.

Maybe you didn't install it properly.

Greetings!

I need to find out about the problem. Can you put here the output of: "dpkg -l|grep Tcl"

Thanks!

Okay, aMSN is working now for me, after performing an upgrade through the update manager (i'd been hitting cancel when it wanted to perform a partial upgrade, then updating manually - there must be a difference...) Here's my output now:

@Yuttadhammo: Is the problem completely resolved ?

@RobPower: You should use an official ubuntu package (0.97RC1+dfsg-0ubuntu1~pollycoke1 isn't part of the official repositories). Please, replace the package and update your tcl-tk libraries.

Greetings!

Miguel,

Yes, everything works here, after a certain update (mentioned above) removed some obsolete packages and updated some others. Thanks for taking the time to work on this; aMSN is a great program.

I guess that you're using a mix of repositores. Try to use *only* Ubuntu packages if you want to avoid problems.

Miguel you're right.

I was using a mix of repositories on Feisty. That's probably how I got tcl & tk 8.5. After the upgrade to Gutsy i only use the official repositories.

Anyway, removing tcl 8.5 and tk 8.5, did the trick. aMSN still doesn't look good, but no error messages.

Cheers

This problem is caused by mixed packets.
You have tk8.5 8.5.0.a5-3v1ubuntu0 and tcl8.5 8.5.0.a5-3v1ubuntu0 which are from 3v1n0's repository and these conflicts with amsn from main ubuntu repository.

You have to remove those external packets and then reinstall amsn with its dependencies ONLY from the Ubuntu repository!

I've had the same problem I remove that version of aMSN and install this version :

It works fine !!
