Bug Description

Upstream has requested that plasma-nm 0.9.3.1 be SRU'd to saucy. The current version contains a number of bugs which they don't want to keep getting reported.

This update includes a rename back to the old widget internal name org.kde.networkmanagement and needs a script to rename the user's config

Uploaded 0.9.3.1 to saucy for a SRU

TEST CASE: install new plasma-nm and log out/in, ensure widget remains in panel and networking continues to function

Hello Jonathan, or anyone else affected,

Accepted into saucy-proposed. The package will build now and be available in a few hours in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help us make a better decision.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in advance!

On my laptop I have upgraded to plasma-nm 0.9.3.1 and libnetworkmanagerqt0 0.9.0.1 packages from saucy-proposed and successfully connected to my home, office and KDE barcelona office network, both wired and wifi.

On a frash install of Kubuntu 13.10 in virtualbox I logged in and plasma-nm connected to the fake ethernet connection. I installed plasma-nm 0.9.3.1 and libnetworkmanagerqt0 0.9.0.1 from saucy-proposed and logged out/in and it successfully kept the plasma widget in the panel (checking the config file I see it has been renamed to the old name).

saucy has seen the end of its life and is no longer receiving any updates. Marking the saucy task for this ticket as "Won't Fix".
