Bug Description

When I open cheese, click the video icon, and Record a Video the display for the video/display output for the webcam freezes. The video is then never recorded and I am unable to also take pictures unless I restart cheese. This problem did not occur in Ubuntu 13.04 - which is why I created this new report.

When running cheese from the terminal, I get the following output right after pressing Record a Video:

(cheese:15522): GStreamer-CRITICAL **: gst_mini_object_unref: assertion 'mini_object != NULL' failed

(cheese:15522): cheese-WARNING **: Filter caps do not completely specify the output format

(cheese:15522): cheese-WARNING **: Internal data flow error.

The same happens (problem and terminal error) for another computer that I have where cheese also worked with Ubuntu 13.04.

@Jhonny, not that I'm aware of (still unassigned).

I have tried install the version that came with Raring (v 3.6.2-0ubuntu3) with the cheese-common (version of Raring) and some other package (that I can't remember now) that was needed. This did not help, so I guess that the problem must be among the dependencies.

I am willing to try earlier versions of the dependencies (if the problem might be there), if someone might know which ones might be the problem?
