After upgrade to saucy I had to empty Advanced Settings to be able to connect
i.e. none of the bleow options work anymore
-N -r scard

there has been a change to the rdp basis using xfreerdp now.
the option scard has to be changed but this doesn't solve the problem:
xfreerdp is missing a module
the failed to open /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/freerdp/smartcard.so:

in our office we switched to rdesktop now
