Bug Description

This is a bug, and also a fix.
The Wi-fi LED doesn't light in any circumstance, but this is not a problem, since the LED only lights in Windows 8 after installing the requiered drivers.
In Windows 8 the Wi-Fi Fn key works by switching airplane mode ON/OFF and it works right after first boot (but no LED).
In my case it doesn't work by default at all (even the code is not caught by any programs like easystroke, etc).

And now the fix:

sudo gedit /etc/default/grub

Find the line with:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="splash quiet"

and modify it to look like this:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="splash quiet acpi_osi='!Windows 2012'"

Save and close editor.
Then:
sudo update-grub
and restart.

Wi-Fi Fn key should work by switching ON/OFF Airplane Mode

PS: I haven't tested this, but if in earlier versions of Ubuntu you had problems with Fn keys not working and some other fix did the job for you, that fix may be the match for this case.
