Bug Description
The Nemo File manager (nemo 1.8.4-1) (what a relief after the new catastrophically stripped-down nautilus!) has a toggle button in the far left corner of the Status Bar at the bottom of the Nemo window, allowing the user to switch on/off the display of the Places Sidebar.
This toggle button is in the wrong place:
Settings buttons and options for how Nemo is presented and behaves are all located in the Main Toolbar immediately below the bar which presents the location of the folder displayed.
The Status Bar at the bottom of Nemo, however, is there (as its name already indicates) specifically and only to display status information about the folder displayed and about any specific files selected in that folder.
Thus, the current position of Places Sidebar view toggle button is inconsistent and illogical. This toggle button should instead be relocated from the Status Bar up to the Main Toolbar.
And of course, as with the other items in the Main Toolbar, the user should be given the option to hide this toggle button.
