DESCRIPTION

1. Draw two shapes (such as rectangles) which are offset diagonally and join them with a connector, then drag the centre segment of the connector sideways to "skew" it - see the upper illustration in the attached file "lo_skew_bug.png".

2. Save and close the file.

3. Re-open the file. The "skew" of the connector will be lost and the image will look like the lower illustration in the attached file.

This is a regression from previous versions of LibreOffice. It appears that the "skew" is lost on loading the file, as the skew is still present if opening the file saved at step 2 above with OpenOffice Draw.

This problem also affects drawings embedded in Writer documents, which exacerbates the effect as it can result in complex block diagrams being corrupted without the user noticing if they are not on a page the user is working on when the open and save the document.

Andy Bovett, could you please provide a verbatim click-for-click, or making a screencast from a blank Draw file to finished product following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Screencast ?

This is a major bug which basically destroys all documents that are opened, modified and then saved. This problem is also documented in [1] and [2].

It practically makes Draw not only unsuable but is a real threat to existing document based. This is definitely not fixed in 4.1.2 rc3 (saucy) and is a complete show-stopper for me at the moment.
