Blogger.com posts don't set title

When submitting blog posts to Blogger.com the text entered into the "Title" box is not used as the "Title" field in the blog, instead it appears in the main body of the blog post as a regular paragraph. This makes organising and searching blogs harder, since the posts do not have titles.

I can confirm this issue with Ubuntu Gutsy Beta, it also puts extra spaces inbetween paragraphs

This issue continues with the ubuntu gnome-blog v. 0.9.1-3ubuntu3. Please push this upstream.

This is the same in Jaunty 9.04, too. Surely someone can just update it to the new blogger 2.0 API? If i knew how, i would! It's annoying that my OS X widgets and Vista sidebar gadgets can happily post to blogger - including titles - yet this awesome gnome-app can't.

This problem still exists since the software over 3 releases of ubuntu hasn't been updated.

Using Ubuntu 10.4 with latest version of Gnome Blog and this issue is still not fixed. Title still appears as first paragraph in the post's body and not in the title-field.

Thank you for reporting this bug, sorry that we weren't able to provide a proper fix.

This package has been removed from the Ubuntu development release and upstream development has not been active in many years.
