Bug Description
Hello,
I'm using Ubuntu 7.10 fully updated, but my splash screen hangs. It 'looks' like it's a part of the background. I can use everything, but it's very annoying.

This is with Compiz effects activated. I'm using a ATI RADEON RX9550
