Bug Description
The netboot archive
http://
appears to be missing basic scsi support in either the kernel or in modules (no
scsi_mod).
The result is that during a netboot installation, either scsi or libata/sata
driver will not load. An insmod of the same module will show missing external
symbols. If your primary storage device requires scsi/sata, then you cannot
install the OS.

SCSI modules aren't meant to be in the netboot initrd; they're loaded from the modules, scsi-core-modules, scsi-extra-modules, and scsi-modules
network after it boots. Does /var/log/syslog show anna properly retrieving the
scsi-common-
packages? scsi-core-modules contains scsi_mod.ko, and that component should be
retrieved automatically.
Are you letting the netboot image use archive.ubuntu.com for package retrieval
as is the default, or doing something funky?
