Bug Description

I am running Ubuntu 12.04.3, and wanted to create a live USB of Ubuntu 12.04.3 with USB-Creator version 0.2.23.

I selected persistent storage with 4GB size.

Everyting was done. Now I booted into the liveUSB, created a few files, restarted into the liveUSB and these files were gone. The presistent storage was not working.

Then, I followed the solution given at http://askubuntu.com/a/225346/67346.

Basically, the solution prescribed adding presistance keyword to all line ending with "--" in both text.cfg and txt.cfg (both are present in /syslinux folder in the liveUSB.

My liveUSB didn't have text.cfg but had txt.cfg. So, I added the persistence keyword to all lines ending with "--" in txt.cfg. This too didn't solve the problem.
