Opening document properties changes display unit

I open this bug to document the behaviour already described in bug #1239682 comment #7.
When I open the attached file and, without doing anything else, click on the icon to open the document properties, the drawing becomes bigger (unit change?).
If I open the document and just drag a new guide, then the problem does not occur.
This is a document I've worked on yesterday. Today I wanted to start from it to generate a portrait version. It was more complex but I deleted all but the remaining path, then saved, reopened and the problem is still present.

Reproduced with Inkscape 0.48+devel r12700 on OS X 10.7.5

Detail: does not happen if opened from within inkscape so that the file is loaded in an existing document window (clean new document, not dirtied).

Based on tests with archived builds (on OS X):
- not reproduced with rev <= 12552
- reproduced with rev >= 12554

Retesting the affected file with r12721:
It seems that it only happens once per session - the fist time the document properties dialog is opened.

Workaround:
1) launch inkscape
2) open & close the document properties dialog
3) open the affected file
--> now nothing happens when opening document properties again.

However, changing the document units still produces unexpected results (drawing content is scaled differently relative to the page size) - see also comment #5 in bug #1239682.

Fixed in r12724.

Still your document seems to be broken: viewbox numbers do not correspond to document units. But that's another bug.

was fixed in revision 12724 (don't update doc unit stuff when initializing DocumentProperties dialog widgets)

Remaining issues with the file should be tracked in a new report.
