The error I get:

---
Could not calculate the upgrade

An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade.

 This can be caused by:
 * Upgrading to a pre-release version of Ubuntu
 * Running the current pre-release version of Ubuntu
 * Unofficial software packages not provided by Ubuntu

If none of this applies, then please report this bug using the command 'ubuntu-bug ubuntu-release-upgrader-core' in a terminal.
---

I ran 'ubuntu-bug ubuntu-release-upgrader-core' as the message suggested, and that is how I got to this existing bug. I was hoping the collected information would automatically be attached to this bug, but I'm not sure if that happened correctly.

It concerns proprietary Brother drivers for my printer and scanner, which I have installed according to the instructions on the Brother support page. One dubious aspect I remember about the installation is that I had to 'force' the installation...

Can I still upgrade and just ignore these problems?
