dpkg-reconfigure on tp-smapi-dkms fails
$ sudo dpkg-reconfigure tp-smapi-dkms
Error! Could not locate dkms.conf file.
File: does not exist.
Error! Could not locate dkms.conf file.
File: does not exist.
Error! DKMS tree already contains: tp-smapi-0.41
You cannot add the same module/version combo more than once.

My mistake, I removed /usr/src/
