The sound did not work on a Windos OS either
I have searched multiple resources and found that default drivers are istalled for the OS, but aren't used for whatever reason.
on running the code:
           find /lib/modules/`uname -r` | grep snd
I found the lists of installed packages I will post if propted to do so.

furthar info
code:
sudo aplay -l
Result:
aplay: device_list:252: no soundcards found...

Code:
sudo apt-get install linux-restricted-modules-`uname -r` linux-generic
Result:
E: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (11: Resource temporarily unavailable)
E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), is another process using it?
