Bug Description
Using image 20131005 on maguro
Problem:
If you play a video for a little while (say 10 seconds) and then swipe from the left to go back to the shell, the rendering of just about everything is noticeably slower. Even if you quit the mediaplayer-app, the rendering in the shell and such remains slow. In particular, long tap on an open application to get the quit 'X' button shows really slow animation rendering.
Reproduce:
From an ssh prompt on the target device:
1. Open calculator and calendar apps
2. http://
3. mediaplayer-app /home/phablet/
From the device screen:
1. Swipe from the left side of the screen to go back to the home lens.
2. Swipe side to side, notice slower animation rendering
3. Long press on the calendar app's open icon, notice the quite 'X' button render slowly
It's a known issue that touch will keep rendering all surfaces, even background ones. I'm going to assume this is a duplicate of bug 1227739 unless proven otherwise...
Also, maguro has known performance problems: bug 1182930
