I had the same problem with my kubuntu today.
Kubuntu: gutsy
kget: 4:3.5.8-0ubuntu2
kde: 3.5.8

I cannot reproduce this crash. When it happend i had it at the second time i toggled to the offline mode.

Please install kdenetwork-dbg and try to retrigger the crash in order to obtain a useful backtrace. The current one is unfortunately not of much use.
