Bug Description

Binary package hint: thunderbird

... thunderbird-bin crashed with SIGSEGV in raise(), when sorting emails in my online "search folder"

I created a "search folder" which is supposed to show me all unread, addressed to me, emails in my Inbox.
When opening the "search folder", it reported 279 emails which fill the criteria above. T-bird crashed when I tried to sort them chronologically, with the newest emails at the top.
The "search folder" is online, i.e. it continually monitors my IMAP account and updates its findings.
Thunderbird version 2.0.0.4 (20070618)
Ubuntu 7.10 Alpha Tribe 2
The Inbox contains a total of 13.418 emails.
When I restarted T-bird, opened the "search folder" and clicked the date heading, T-bird crashed again after a few seconds.

Thank you for your report grenness,

please can you indicate which extensions/plugins have you installed?

also, is the crash reproducible with the latest updates? If so, can it be reproduced in safe mode (e.g. launch thunderbird with the flag -safe-mode)?

finally, can you describe the crash step by step so you can provide us a test case.

Thank you in advance,

H. Montoliu

Thunderbird crashes in Hardy as of today. Might have something to do with the latest updates.

Haven't been to Thunder bird to check my mail (in Hardy) for a while though.
