Bug Description

I upgraded to 13.10 and Smart Scopes is not what I expected...

At most ,I want the ability to toggle a dozen of these sources in the Dash, I do not need 100 choices permanently cluttering my interface.

Feature request: Ability to permanently disable certain sources. For example: Recipepuppy and Zotero should never be a choice I can toggle on my personal computer.

How can I accomplish this?

Thank you for your consideration.

Hi Dac,

You can disable the scopes you do not like. To do this:

1. Open the Application Scope (Super+A).
2. Scroll down to Dash plugins.
3. Select "See x more results"
4. Click on the Scope you want to disable.
5. Click "Disable".

The scope will no longer show up in the Filters section anymore. Let me know if this is what you want, so we can mark this bug appropriately.

Hi

I just want to add a tips for people who wants to disable many scopes with a single command. In fact, there's a gsettings key that store a list of scope disabled.

~$ gsettings set com.canonical.Unity.Lenses disabled-scopes "[list the scopes to disable here]"

Best Regards,
Winael
