KCheckGmail 0.5.5 no longer works with gmail

Bug Description

Binary package hint: kcheckgmail

Once again, the older version of KCheckGmail has become incompatible with Gmail. It will login successfully, but not display any new mail notifications at all. Upgrading to the newest deb for Debian Etch (right now 0.5.6) from http://kcheckgmail.sourceforge.net fixes the problem.

The process for this is to request a backport of 0.5.6 (it's already in the Ubuntu repository for Gutsy. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BackportRequestProcess for what you need to do.
