Bug Description
We need wayland 1.2.x so that mesa can be updated post-release to the next version. This _will_ break weston, because we can't build cairo with GL/EGL support before the nvidia driver is fixed not to hog memory with such cairo.. and newer weston needs GL/EGL support in cairo.
but that's ok, since we don't use weston.

Note that the mesa version that needs this wayland is 10.0 that'll be released late November. Certain HW roadmaps are still a bit vague about when support for it will land upstream, so while that version doesn't exactly fit the MRE criteria, we'd like to keep the option open.
