Bug Description

Linux saucy-desktop 3.11.0-9-generic #16-Ubuntu SMP Fri Sep 27 15:08:11 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Daily Build: 01-10-2013 amd64

Print Screen Key when pressed does nothing at all. However, scrot works ONLY when run in LXTerminal.

This is the most basic function or feature and it should work so please, fix that :)

Thank you!

I can confirm that scrot is available from the command line, but the standard hotkeys are gone. (This worked in Raring).

I've fixed that, I think. Could someone double-check that?

Instructions: replace /usr/bin/lxsession-default with the attachment.

Attachmennt from comment #5 works like a charm.

Friendly notice:
1) using PCManFM, open /usr/bin/. now open path as root, and rename /usr/bin/lxsession-default to /usr/bin/lxsession-default.old

2) download the attachment to your desktop. in my case, the attachment is called lxsession-default.txt. rename to lxsession-default

3) copy lxsession-default from the desktop into /usr/bin/ as root using PCManFM;

4) still as root, right click at lxsession-default file, properties and change the permissions to execute to anyone.

now you're good to go and Print Screen Key works as expected.

Thank you for your support Jörn!

PS: alt+ Print Screen Key is not working as expected though. in this case, the workaround from #4 would do the trick.

For me, Alt+PrtScr does a fullscreen-screenshot. That seems an other issue. If you look into ~/.config/lxsession/Lubuntu/desktop.conf, there is an entry like:

screenshot_manager/command=scrot

But there is no entry like "screenshot_window_manager". Also no entry in lxsession-default-app. So, this just seems unimplemented.

Lubuntu 14.04 LTS i386 Fresh New Installation and I confirm 'scrot' is working now :)

Can someone please confirm that so we can mark it as fixed?

Thank you!
