For 3.5 kernel it's support by the staging driver rts_pstor but it has been removed in 3.8 (cd2112220b6b0a35fa12ba988a0dd837515dfaf8), I will ask upstream the support status of 10ec:5208.

Communicated to upstream author Wei Wang, he will tidy up rts_pstor and target to reinstate this driver for 3.14 kernel.

Realtek helps to submit the driver back to upstream, now it is in staging-next [1] and is called rts5208.

Not planning to backport to 14.04 LTS 3.13 kernel at the moment, but there will be 14.04.2, which will use the Utopic kernel. By then, LTS users can choose to upgrade to the Utopic kernel/X/Mesa, so LTS users can also enjoy this driver.

@xuedi, blug not doing so well these days after you left :(
