Cannot install Gutsy Gibbon. Partitonprogram dies

Bug Description

This installation goes into a HP ZE4417EA laptop with a AMD CPU, 40 GB HDD, 256 MB RAM

When trying to install Gutsy Gibbon with the installer it goes well until it is time to prepare the HDD. When trying to do any manipulation on the HDD the partition program never continue.
