Automatic suspend / resume behaviour is poor

Bug Description

Automatic suspend does not show the suspend message when watching video, for example iPlayer, in full screen mode.

This prevents the user from choosing not to suspend and so the suspend occurs automatically. This is extremely annoying when watching a video or TV programme as the user has to go though the resume procedure.

The resume procedure itself is rather strange as :

1. after entering the password the screen goes black for a moment
2. the suspend message is not removed automatically
